Terms of service

These terms apply when you create a Bluicorn account or use bluicorn.com. If you are using Bluicorn for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Bluicorn analyses the public content of a website you nominate, builds a structured profile of the product, scores distribution opportunities, compares your presence against competitors you confirm, recommends what to do next, prepares guidance and copy, checks completed placements where it can, and records the outcomes you report. Which of these you get depends on your plan, as set out on the pricing page.

Recommendations are judgements built from public evidence and a documented scoring model. They are not guarantees. Bluicorn does not promise any level of traffic, sign-ups, revenue, backlinks, reviews, media coverage or search ranking, and does not promise that any platform will accept your submission. Third-party platforms change their rules, their audiences and their submission processes without telling us.

Where a fact cannot be verified, the product says so. Ratings marked as editorial estimates are our opinion. Verification checks prove a page was reachable and matched, not that a listing will remain.

• Submit only websites you own or are authorised to have analysed.
• Review anything Bluicorn prepares before it is published in your name.
• Keep your account credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Comply with the terms of any platform you submit to. Bluicorn is not a party to those agreements.
• Do not use Bluicorn to make claims about your product that are untrue.

Bluicorn may not be used to:

• send unsolicited bulk messages, or generate content for that purpose;
• post automatically to communities, or to manipulate votes, ratings or reviews;
• scrape sources that prohibit it, or circumvent access controls, paywalls or bot protection;
• analyse websites in order to attack or exploit them;
• resell or redistribute Bluicorn output as a competing dataset;
• attempt to exceed rate limits, or to access another customer’s workspace.

We may suspend an account that does any of these. Where the breach is serious, we may do so without notice.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew until cancelled. The 30-Day Sprint is a single payment and does not renew. Prices are in US dollars and shown on the pricing page.

Purchases are sold through Stripe as merchant of record, which means your contract for the payment itself is with Stripe, and Stripe collects any sales tax, VAT or GST due in your country. Cancel at any time from billing settings: your plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. We do not give partial refunds for time already elapsed, but if Bluicorn has failed you, write to hello@bluicorn.com and we will look at it properly.

A downgrade removes access to the capabilities above your plan. It never deletes work you have already produced.

Your product information, confirmed profile, claims, actions and outcomes remain yours. You grant Bluicorn permission to process them in order to provide the service. We may use aggregated, anonymised patterns — which kinds of channel produce results for which kinds of product — to improve recommendations for everyone. That aggregate never identifies you, your product or your figures.

The Bluicorn software, platform registry, scoring model and interface remain ours. Copy that Bluicorn prepares for your listings is yours to use.

Bluicorn is provided as it is. We do not offer an uptime guarantee, and research depending on third-party search, models or websites may fail or return nothing. We aim to fix what breaks and to be straight with you about what is broken.

To the extent the law allows, Bluicorn is not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You may stop using Bluicorn at any time and delete your account from Settings, which erases your workspace and everything in it. We may end this agreement if you breach these terms, or with reasonable notice if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give you time to export your data.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will say so by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use Bluicorn afterwards means you accept it.
